NSF EAGER seeds Boa, a community infrastructure for mining software repositories
September 01, 2013
An early NSF EAGER award seeded Boa, the lab’s infrastructure for mining software repositories at scale. The grant supported the first version of a platform that lets a researcher write an analysis once and run it across very large collections of code.
That seed grew into a community resource used in software-engineering research and into later, larger awards that expanded the infrastructure.
This work is part of Analyzing Software at Scale, with Boa; see our overview of reading the world’s code at once. Details are on the NSF award page.
